The pun canvas + ass and the English meaning "to advertise" reveals the attitude of the (unsuccessful) artist towards common marketing and advertising strategies of artworks in the exhibition establishments or in art markets on the one hand.

On the other hand, Canvass describes the problem of fear-respect and frustration and anger resulting from it in front of the white/blank/virgin/undefiled and - above all - relentlessly demanding canvas.
